Events & Conventions
We are proud to bring Ludosport joy to events and conventions across Ireland.
Typically we have a team of 8 Academy members (instructors and athletes) at these events, running information stands, doing demonstrations, and hosting taster classes throughout the day.
You will find us every year at Dublin Comic Con spring and summer events and at multiple Minicon Ireland events around the country.
2026 will also see us participate for the first time in the Feel the Force Festival in Dunmanway, Co. Cork.
Our attendance at events and conventions always helps to elevate the atmosphere and bring an extra level of interaction. We do not charge for any of the on-site classes that we run and will teach children, adults, and family groups; we've even had Starfleet officers, Klingons, celebrity guests, and event security take lessons from our expert instructors.
Our class record so far was at Minicon Dundalk, where we hosted a whopping NINE classes throughout the one-day event and did a live demo on the main stage.
Frequently we will have the current Irish National Champion in attendance too. Providing instruction and demonstrations.
Dublin Comic Con is our biggest event close to home (our Academy is just around the corner) and it's where most people fall in love with Ludo.

At the information table, you can meet our Head of Conventions, Simon, and learn about the sport and where you can train in Ireland. You can sign up for a Discovery Day, purchase a Trial Class Pass for you and a friend, or get a Gift Voucher for 2 whole months' worth of Ludosport.
See (and hear) us parade through the venue all the way to the bridge of the USS CÚCHULAINN for our official con photo every Sunday at the convention.

We have just been announced for Galway in June 2026 but you'll see us pop-up at more Minicons throughout the year.
We were thrilled to participate in the inaugural Convention Before Christmas at the end of 2025. The aim of this convention was to raise as much money as possible for Laura Lynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice. The weekend was a fantastic success and we launched our gift vouchers and trial class passes at this con. We are already looking forward to Christmas 2026.
Feel the Force 2026 will take place on May 30th and 31st in Dunmanway, Co.Cork. The festival will take over the town for the entire weekend and we are thrilled to be part of the action this year.
Another of our big charity events in 2025 was the South Sligo Star Wars Celebration.
This was the first time we took our taster classes on the road and adapted them for all ages. We had such a fantastic response to these classes that we have gone on to offer them at all future events.
