TY Students

In 2025 we were thrilled, and pleasantly surprised, to crown a new National Style Champion: a 16year old TY student from Dublin. Having only taken secondary school students for just under 12 months at this point, we realised that we needed to bring our sport to new demographics.

Shortly after, we launched our short-term membership programme for TY students looking to take up a new sport as part of their Bronze Gaisce endeavours. We initially offered a 26 week commitment and going forward will include a 13 week option.

This Gaisce programme will expand in 2026 to all Ludosport locations in Leinster.

Starting in Sept 2026 we are also working to offer Discovery Days in schools. Our instructors will come to your school in Dublin and the commuter belt and provide workshops for TY students. They will be introduced to the sport with basic instruction in long saber and the saber staff.
